On June 5th, the 54th "World Environment Day" arrived as scheduled.
Agriculture is an important front for ecological protection and also the main battlefield for green development. Research data from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization shows that the greenhouse gas emissions from the global food system account for one-third of total anthropogenic emissions. In China, the degradation of cultivated land remains challenging, and the problem of agricultural non-point source pollution urgently needs to be addressed. Facing these challenges, Yonfer has taken active actions and has been continuously exploring the path of coordinated development between industry and ecology to respond to the call of the times.
In terms of technological innovation, Yonfer has continuously increased its investment in research and development, establishing a full-chain innovation system from basic research to technological achievement transformation. As of now,Yonfer has undertaken more than 20 national and provincial-level major scientific research projects and topics including the "14th Five-Year Plan" National Key Research and Development Program. It has focused on research and development in directions such as "Creation and Industrialization of Green Slow-Release and Stabilized Fertilizers" and "Common Technological Innovation and Application for Agricultural Non-Point Source Pollution Control". Among them, the research on green slow-release fertilizers has achieved remarkable results. After the implementation of the project, 4 functional new formulas and 9 specialized products were successfully developed, with a promotion area of 90,000 hectares, providing strong support for improving fertilizer utilization rates and reducing the burden on soil environments.
Meanwhile, Yonfer actively participated in the construction of green product and green factory standards. It participated in the formulation of 7 national standards and 7 industry standards, including "Evaluation Requirements for Green Factories in the Compound Fertilizer Industry" and "Evaluation Requirements for Green Factories in the MAP and DAP Industries". This has set a replicable and promotable model for the green transformation of the industry.

The green product system and the construction of agricultural technology service system are the key measures that Yonfer takes to promote agricultural environmental protection. Yonfer focuses on the direction of "Efficiency, Specialization, Environmental Friendliness, And Functionalization", and has established a diversified matrix covering over 20 major categories and hundreds of products. These fertilizers not only can improve the soil environment but also can increase fertilizer utilization rate and reduce agricultural non-point source pollution. In addition, Yonfer continuously deepens the "3+1" team operation model, integrating promotion and service, and in 2024, a total of over 10,000 technical training and demonstration observation meetings were held, and more than 600 demonstration fields were constructed. Truly, the green concept has been "planted" in the fields and farmlands.

While promoting green agriculture, Yonfer also promotes the green transformation of its own production system with higher standards. By optimizing production processes and improving environmental governance levels, it was recognized as an A-level environmental performance enterprise in Hubei Province in 2024. In terms of resource comprehensive utilization, Yonfer has a phosphoric acid gypsum processing capacity of over 7 million tons per year. In 2024, the utilization of phosphoric acid gypsum reached 362.99 million tons, and the resource utilization rate continued to increase. Yonfer also continuously explores innovative applications of phosphoric acid gypsum in ecological restoration scenarios, promoting the harmless phosphoric acid gypsum used in the Dongbao District of Jingmen City for the ecological restoration of the abandoned mining pit of Aizigou quarry. The repairable area is 7.72 hectares, and it can accommodate over 20 million tons of phosphoric acid gypsum, achieving the dual goals of ecological restoration and solid waste resource utilization.

Yonfer, with its integrated approach of technology, products, services and manufacturing, continuously promotes green agricultural development. In the future, Yonfer will continue to uphold its mission, protect the blue sky with technology, and nourish the fertile fields with services, so as to create more wonderful possibilities where green production and ecological protection converge.
