On June 25, the 36th National Land Day arrived as scheduled. Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the promulgation of the Land Management Law of the People's Republic of China, the theme—"Cherish Every Inch of Land and Promote High-Quality Development"—gives this land that nurtures all things the deepest significance of our times. As a leading national enterprise in phosphate and compound fertilizer production, Yonfer precisely "takes the pulse" of soils in the fields through field soil testing, scientifically "prescribes treatment" with innovative products, and meticulously "manages and cares for" crops throughout the entire agricultural service process, striving to rewrite the story of fertile soil ecosystems.
Soil testing and formulation—redefining fertilization with technology
In the past, the misconception that "the more fertilizer, the better" placed an unbearable burden on the land, leading to increasingly prominent issues of "hidden depletion," such as soil acidification, compaction, salinization, and declining organic matter content. Since the Central Document No. 1 of 2005 explicitly called for the promotion of soil-testing-based, formula-driven fertilization, Yonfer, in collaboration with over 20 research institutions, has introduced the "large formula, small adjustments" and "supplement what's lacking" approaches, redefining agricultural production methods through soil-testing-based formulations.
Relying on its 15 major production bases nationwide, the company continues to break through technological bottlenecks in areas such as soil adaptation improvement and capacity enhancement. It has made significant progress in fields including soil pH regulation, obstacle mitigation, rapid organic matter enrichment, and the construction of fertile topsoil layers. Moreover, the company has established differentiated, science-based fertilization systems in key production regions for field crops—including Shandong, Henan, Heilongjiang, and Jilin—as well as in prime areas for specialty crops like fruits and vegetables. These efforts have helped increase average yields of field crops by 8% to 10% and boosted incomes from specialty crops by more than 10%.
Numbers may be silent, yet they eloquently document the profound dialogue between land and science. Yonfer is committed to transforming soil testing and formulated fertilization into a simple, efficient, and high-quality new form of productivity. By replacing the traditional, extensive approach with precise formulations that "supplement what's lacking and supply according to need," we achieve targeted nutrient application and full utilization of resources.
Innovative product: Introducing the "Soil Nourishment" tool
With a "data prescription," what's even more crucial is prescribing the right "effective medicine." Guided by the principles of "high efficiency, specialization, environmental friendliness, and functional enhancement," Yonfer has launched a comprehensive, science-based soil protection solution that includes crop-specific fertilizers, slow- and controlled-release fertilizers, stabilized fertilizers, and microbial fertilizers—each tailored to address specific challenges in various types of soil.

In the area of black soil conservation, Yonfer has participated in two major projects under the 14th Five-Year National Key R&D Program: "Research and Application of Targeted Conditioning and Fertilization Products for Reducing Obstacles in Black Soils" and "Key Technologies for Controlling Pollution and Enhancing Carbon Sequestration in Black Soil Farmland." Yonfer has developed the "Water Retention—Acid Regulation—Carbon Enhancement" Baibei Bang soil conditioner, which integrates a variety of synergistic enhancement methods—including functional microbial agents, carbon-based materials, and composite materials—to help build a green, efficient, and sustainable black soil cultivation system.

In the area of improving sandy soils along the Yellow River, we are undertaking the "14th Five-Year Plan" National Key R&D Program—"Improvement of Sandy Soils Along the Yellow River and Creation & Industrialization of High-Efficiency Water and Fertilizer Products." Through technological innovation, we have developed an efficient product package consisting of "Yangfeng Dou" bio-organic fertilizer plus "Yangfeng Double Controls" compound fertilizer. According to reports, this package has been cumulatively promoted across 400,000 mu in regions including Shandong and Henan, increasing farmers' income by approximately 100 yuan per mu and transforming previously barren sandy lands into highly productive and stable "treasure bowls."
In the area of microbial soil improvement, Yonfer has teamed up with Academician Li Peiwu from the Oil Crops Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences to implement ARC bio-coupling technology. Using a "fertilizer-driven microorganisms" approach, they have developed specialized fertilizers for peanuts and soybeans—"high-nutrient, high-yield, and highly targeted"—which enhance the structure of soil microbial communities, effectively control aflatoxin contamination, and stimulate efficient nodule formation and nitrogen fixation in crops, resulting in an additional income of 200 to 400 yuan per mu.
To address the challenges posed by acidic soils in southern regions, Yonfer has launched "Yangfeng Zunzhi Compound Fertilizer + Yangfeng Dou Bio-organic Fertilizer." The Fertilizer Science Package leverages the synergistic effects of plant-derived organic matter and functional microbial communities to precisely neutralize soil acidity, restore soil aggregate structure, and significantly improve the rhizosphere microecological environment. In the saline-alkali regions of Northwest China, we've launched the country's first eco-grade compound fertilizer—"Yangfeng Sulfur"—which, thanks to its activated humic acid and complex biopeptides, delivers remarkable salt-reducing and soil-improving results. This not only serves as concrete proof of the successful implementation of the Yonfer technology cluster but also ensures that our commitment to "protecting our green mountains and clear waters" is deeply rooted in every inch of land.

Precision ag services: Delivering the last mile
Only through service can technology and products truly take root in the ground. The company has assembled a marketing and agricultural service team of over 1,300 members, transforming "fields and farmyards" into "practical classrooms." By converting complex soil science principles into "down-to-earth methods" that farmers can easily understand and apply, the company provides cumulative training to more than one million farmer households each year.
Faced with the 20-year dilemma of soil acidification caused by continuous cropping, the Yonfer Agricultural Services team "diagnosed" and "prescribed a remedy" for Mr. Wang's melon field in Anqiu, Weifang, tailoring a customized compound fertilizer solution called "Aullter Jizhi." The demonstration field achieved an additional yield of 875 kilograms compared to conventional cultivation, resulting in an average income increase of 1,225 yuan per mu. Thanks to its outstanding performance—"no root burn, no premature decline"—it has become a new benchmark for "increased income against the trend" across the surrounding villages and towns.

Under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, more than 85% of the soils in Hainan Province are acidified. Recently, Yonfer launched the "Hainan Soil Comprehensive Survey" initiative, conducting on-site soil assessments and developing customized solutions—"acid adjustment and soil improvement plus precision fertilization"—right where the soils are located, thereby promoting Hainan toward a virtuous cycle of "soil-centered management combined with balanced soil utilization and restoration."
From fields to mines, Yonfer's commitment to safeguarding the land has never ceased. The company has invested over 1 billion yuan in tackling the challenging issue of comprehensive phosphogypsum management, with an annual processing capacity exceeding 7 million tons. Notably, the company is using harmless phosphogypsum to support ecological restoration: in the abandoned mine pit remediation project in Jingmen, Hubei Province, it has utilized more than 2 million tons of phosphogypsum, restoring 7.72 hectares of land and giving new life to previously derelict areas.
